Election season is upon us already! The Primary is set for May 15th. So far, five candidates have
stepped forward to run for Forks Township Supervisor. Two seats are open -- terms are expiring for David
Hoff and John Ackerman. Ackerman is the only incumbent running again. The candidates are split
between three Republicans and two Democrats.
Forks Action Committee (FAC) is excited to announce that we are making our campaign services available
to four of these challengers. All four are worthy candidates – two each from both parties -- who chose to
devote time and energy to making Forks a better place.
These outstanding Forks residents have completed FAC candidate questionnaires and gone
through our review process. We are certain that (in alphabetical order):
To help voters interact and analyze the merits of these candidates, we've added a new tool for our readers’
benefit this year – a Candidates' Blog. Simply click on the "blog with the candidates" link to read the
challengers' opening statements. If you like, you may post your own questions or comments. This blog is
open to all - there is no requirement to be registered with “Blogger” in order to comment on any thread.
However, you will need a Blogger “invitation” to start a new thread. To receive your invitation, Just send an
email to FAC to get one.
The candidates will use the forum to keep us all informed about their positions, campaign progress and
anything else they think will be useful for you, the voters. We know that Informed voters make better
choices at the polls.
It's unusual in Forks politics that voters are presented with such a wide choice at the polls. This primary
season we are offered a wonderful selection! We commend them all to you for your consideration.

Election Update: As of March 8, the full field of Republican candidates includes Billings, Chuss,
Ackerman, and now Fisher. They have all filed nomination petitions and will appear on the May 15th
Primary ballot. Registered Republicans will choose two of the four.
The field for Democrats is smaller with two candidates for registered Democrats' two votes, Egolf and
Wideman.

Voters Candidates Forum! Don't miss it! Five of the six declared candidates will appear before you, the
League, and the press to tell you about themselves, their vision for our town, and to answer questions! This
is a great opportunity for you, Forks voters to see and participate in the upcoming election.
The forum will run from 7:30-9:00 PM at the Faith Lutheran Church on Sullivan Trail. Be an informed voter.

| Election 2007 Season Is Here! Forks voters have tough choices to make this year. Four outstanding candidates emerged from the Primary. Now, for the first time in a very long time, the candidates are NOT incumbents. We will go to the polls and vote FOR candidates and not "against" any one! Wow. November 6th is just around the corner. |
