The Forks Action Committee issued a call to all potential candidates with an interest in
entering the race for the one available Board of Supervisors seat in the 2005 general
election. We had simple criteria for the candidates we would endorse and support
throughout the electoral process. We sought men and women of fine character and good
hearts. Men and women who also have an understanding of the Township’s proud history,
the current state of our community, and possess a clear vision for its future.
We are proud that five individuals, representing the two main political parties, answered our
call. After concluding separate interviews and a candidate forum, we are proud to announce
our endorsement and support of C. David Howell, a Democrat and the recently declared
candidate for the open Supervisor's seat.
As you can read in Mr. Howell’s open letter to the Forks community, his professional career
spans many disciplines, which include the practice of law, service in state government as an
Assistant Attorney General and most recently with the trust department of a major national
bank. We believe he has the personal integrity, qualifications and career experience
needed on the Board of Supervisors during this critical period of development in Forks
Township. C. David Howell will be a fair and independent Board member and will add a
new and effective voice to safeguard the quality of life of Forks residents.
Your vote will make a difference in our town when you elect Mr. Howell as the newest
member of the Forks Township Board of Supervisors. The Primary is over. ELECT HOWELL
